House of Music, Muziekgebouw on the water IJ

The Music Building (Muziekgebouw) on the Southern IJ-banks from the Danish architects 3xN, has two special music halls. One for modern music and one for jazz (the Bimhuis).
The opening of the building was in 2005. A tour in the building, with an explanation about the design, the materials, the history and a visit to the big hall and to the hall of the Bimhuis, is possible. Duration: around an hour.

It is also possible to combine the tour in the building with a boat tour or with a tour over the Oosterdokseiland and the Marineterrein
