Transformation

Former wharfs and industrial areas are or will be transformed in mixed living and working areas. Examples are the NDSM-wharf, the Buiksloterham, the Marineterrein, the Houthaven and the Amstelkwartier.

Also a lot of buildings are transformed  as the former tram remise De Hallen. Since 2015 this complex is a very successful hotspot with culture, a library, an hotel and food halls.
